TFAR is the more common system as it's quite a bit more user friendly than ACRE2 at the cost of realism and accuracy.
TFAR (Task Force Arrowhead Radio) and ACRE2 (Advanced Combat Radio Environment) are the two radio communication mods that exist for ArmA. Features can be as small as renaming weapons to their real-life names, or as significant as complete overhauls of medical systems and realistic ballistics. The most common ones you'll find are (1) ACE3, (2) TFAR/ACRE2, (3) RHS, (4) CUP.ĪCE3 (Advanced Combat Environment) is a realism mod that adds significantly more depth to pretty much every aspect of the game. You'll find it very difficult to find a MILSIM group that does not use mods.
